Governments have an unprecedented opportunity to provide a higher level of meaningful access by ensuring that all new economic recovery infrastructure spending meets world-leading, holistic, and meaningful accessibility best practices that go beyond existing building codes, for people of all abilities. RHF launched the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification™ ( in 2017 to help both the public and private sectors measure the accessibility of their buildings and provide a roadmap for improvement In tandem, an RHFAC Training Course was developed to equip assessors with the knowledge and skills to analyze the built environment and apply the RHFAC rating system.
